Dan has spent most of his life as a software engineer and business owner. He has been an avid art lover his entire life and started painting and drawing about 15 years ago. He mostly paints with oils and tends to layer his paints to get the effect he likes. He is influenced by artist such as Pablo Picasso, Marc Chagall, Henri Matisse, Mark Rothko, Joan Miro, Jean Michel Basquiat, and Banksy. While these artist's artwork are quite different from each other, there are elements of each artist that inspire Dan to paint. He likes colors and spontaneity in a painting.
Dan studied art at Artis Anima in the San Francisco bay area and his artwork has been shown at galleries throughout the San Francisco bay area. His artwork has appeared at art shows throughout the US including New York, San Diego, San Francisco, Miami and Palo Alto.
